Infographic: Space Missions throughout Time

The attached image shows the various trajectories of space missions both manned and unmanned which have occurred. You will want to expand the image fully to truly appreciate its depth. It is amazing how far we have come and how far we have reached into space. Yet, there is still much to discover.

Obesity Epidemic

Over the past twenty years, there has been a systematic increase in obesity within North America. Attached are two photos. The first depicts the rise in obesity from 1990-2010 as tracked by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with the United States. The second shows the obesity rates for the Canadian provinces as measured by Statistics Canada. It is clear this is  a problem. Obesity leads to a shorter life expectancy and poorer quality of life. Furthermore, it places a burden on us all through increased health care costs which for all intensive purposes, could be eliminated through a healthy diet and regular exercise. With out some sort of health conscious revolution, the problem will only continue to worsen. I encourage all to eat healthier and get more exercise.

What are your thoughts on this issue? Is there anything that we can do or is obesity inevitable?
